Food & Drinks
Food
Serve simple, healthy, non-messy food that is appropriate for kids. When planning the menu, think about what you would feed your own child. Use local and organic foods.
Here are just a few examples -
- A fun shaped pasta made with a mixed vegetable sauce and topped with cheese
- Grilled cheese sandwiches cut up in fun shapes - use a cookie cutter
- Tortilla Pinwheels or baked pinwheels
- "Make your own individual pizza" could be a fun party activity for kids. Use healthy organic ingredients and toppings
- Fruits kababs or fruit cups
- Yogurt bar with yogurt and an array of toppings
- Vegetables and healthy dips - kids love dips
Drinks
- Milk & cookie - milk in small clear glasses topped with one cookie
- Naturally flavored milk (strawberry, peach, banana, mango or other fruits, vanilla, cardamom, saffron, etc)
- Fruit flavored lemonade (strawberry, blueberry, peach, or mint, etc)
- Kefir or Lassi
Get creative - You can get ideas for food from the birthday theme you and your child have chosen.
