D.I.Y. Rose and Almond Face Scrub | SoukSouk
If my skin gets a little dull then there’s nothing better to get it looking brighter and clearer than with a good D.I.Y face scrub. I love creating them with things that are easily available and that I have on hand to be able to whip up a new product and experiment with using different ingredients.
To make a gentle face scrub that won’t irritate I’ve found that ground almonds are absolutely amazing. They’re soft and lovely to apply over skin, and always leave mine feeling incredibly smooth afterwards. Initially I began using sugar and occasionally salt when I first started using D.I.Y. scrubs, but found this just a little too abrasive.
After browsing my kitchen cupboard a little further I discovered some rose water which is a lovely, natural ingredient that will give a dose of hydration as well as a lovely fragrant aroma to the scrub, and will mix well with almond’s subtle sweet scent.
